Every where I go there’s a lot of OSRS gold anti marcoing advertisements and dangers about marcoing that it has come to point where we must say enough is enough. For one, I strongly stand against macroing since it will ruins the sport and makes it almost impossible for us fair players to acquire resources to help us ability. In this topic I wish to bring out the point that there is too much fear about that whole anti marcoing campany which Jagex and well everyone is now moving.
First off, everyday I log into Runescape and also have my fair share of skilling at a crowd spot. Generally, I really don’t like talking in the public as it could get very annoying espically when training Mining and Firemaking. Also, I’ve public chat off, since all the coloured and animated texts can get bothersome. However, I just have public on when I am performing a clan event or answering a few questions or actually talking to people that I wish to talk to.
So generally I don’t chat in the general public, as I generally like speaking to the clan from the clan chat. So there I am, training my skill silent as a mouse. After awhile of people hoping to ask me what my level is, that they arrive at the assumption that I am a bot, because I’m not talking. So, I can safely presume they report me and that I get intimidated by random events, that can be sometimes quite great, but they prevent me from training my skills.
Of coarse I’m not marcoing, so I don’t get any punishment. Yet, I get the felling that there is too much fear around this entire marcoing thing and Jagex is driving the train to quickly for this to be any good. Every where I go about the Jagex site, there is some sort of Anti Marcoing ad, or there is some sort of article about reporting Bots.
This has created the general public presume that people which don’t responed for their idiotic queries, which I might add can be readily answered by looking on the high scores page, they are all bots. And I understand that macroing is all ways going to be a problem, but all this effort into a single difficulty? There are thousands of different problems out there which need to be solved also. Jagex has created an unnessicary fear.
In all honesty, this is very much like the whole terrorism fear created by governments and the media. Sure it’s out there, however it doesn’t happen everyday. There bigger and worse issues out there. However, according to Neo-Con theory from Carl Schmitt, you have to get an enemy image so as to have a society. So, is Jagex trying to turn us honest participant aginst each other to help better the community or are they trying to assist us by making us believe that people with their people chat off are enemies of their match? I’m against it, but cheap RuneScape gold enough is enough.
