Baby monkeys are often stolen by other monkeys for various reasons. In some cases, female monkeys may take babies from other females to increase their own social status within the group. Additionally, some monkeys may steal babies to care for them as their own, either due to maternal instincts or to gain a potential ally in the future. It can also be a way for monkeys to ensure the survival of the group by increasing the number of individuals. **

No, lemurs are not monkeys. Lemurs are a type of primate known as prosimians, which are more closely related to ancestral primates than monkeys. Monkeys belong to the suborder Haplorhini, while lemurs belong to the suborder Strepsirrhini. Lemurs are native to Madagascar and have unique characteristics that differentiate them from monkeys, such as their grooming behavior and specialized teeth. **

Monkeys are highly adaptable and resourceful animals, so it is likely that they would survive in many different environments. However, their survival would depend on the specific conditions of the environment, such as the availability of food, water, and shelter. Monkeys have been able to thrive in a variety of habitats, from tropical rainforests to semi-arid savannas, so their ability to survive would largely depend on their ability to find the resources they need to thrive. **

Yes, monkeys can walk. Monkeys are capable of walking on all fours, using their hands and feet to move around on the ground. They are also skilled climbers and can move through trees with agility. **

Monkeys are not suitable pets for most people. They require specialized care, a large amount of space, and a complex social environment that is difficult to replicate in a home setting. Additionally, keeping a monkey as a pet can be harmful to the animal, as it may lead to stress, behavioral issues, and health problems. It is important to respect monkeys as wild animals and support conservation efforts to protect their natural habitats. **

Monkeys do not cry emotional tears like humans do. However, they may produce tears as a result of physical irritation or injury to their eyes. While monkeys may exhibit behaviors that resemble crying, such as vocalizations and facial expressions, these are typically related to their social interactions and not a display of emotional distress in the same way that humans cry. **

Yes, monkeys can exhibit homosexual behavior. Studies have shown that some species of monkeys engage in same-sex sexual activities, forming bonds and relationships with individuals of the same sex. This behavior is believed to serve various social functions within monkey communities, such as reducing tension and forming alliances. Overall, homosexuality has been observed in a variety of animal species, including monkeys. **

Some viruses that affect monkeys include simian immunodeficiency virus (SIV), simian foamy virus (SFV), simian retrovirus (SRV), and simian T-cell leukemia virus (STLV). These viruses can cause a range of health issues in monkeys, including immunodeficiency, neurological disorders, and cancer. It is important to monitor and study these viruses in monkeys to better understand their impact on primate populations and potential zoonotic transmission to humans. **
